-- The Democrats had controlled the House for 40 straight years until 1994, the first Clinton Mid-term election. When the Gingrich-led Republicans maintained control in 1996 it was the first time in 68 years the GOP had elected a speaker in two consecutive Congresses.
". . .Vice President Al 'It-Wasn't-Me-It-Was-Him' Gore . . .
-- Notwithstanding revisionist history, Al Gore has not stood solidly by his President throughout the past year. In fact, his proximity to the President directly correlates with the odds of Clinton remaining in office. The better the odds, the more photo ops for Al and Bill.
"The real revenge will be wrought by House and Senate Liberals . . ."
-- It is an open secret in Washington how little regard Liberals have for President Clinton. There is every reason to hope there will be open warfare between them and the White House in the near future.
