• "...Merry Minuet...:" This song, which was featured on the Kingston Trio "Live from the Hungry I" album, was important to me in that by listening to, and playing along with, it I learned how the play the guitar.

  "Merry Minuet" was written by Sheldon Harnick who was somewhat more famous for having written the lyrics to the songs in "Fiddler on the Roof."

  Over Thanksgiving, my siblings and I were kvetching about how hard everyone had to work.

  My younger brother, Ron ("The Good Brother," as he is known) said to me, "Oh yeah. You work hard. You open a pack of Bazooka bubble gum, read the comic and say, 'Hey! I've got a column!" Which is not that far from the truth.

  For my birthday, Ron sent me this carton of Bazooka bubble gum with a note saying, "In case of writer's block, break glass."
