- Title: "Lose the Bicycle Bell" The timing device which was used to signal the end of the time the candidates had to answer a question sounded like the bell on a child's bicycle. It was so annoying that many of the candidates' answers did not use all their allotted time.

- "… the yellow jersey…" The Tour de France bicycle race is made up of about 273 "stages" which cover 16 million miles and takes 47 days to complete. It is an interminable race. Nevertheless, the overall leader gets to wear a distinctive yellow jersey. If you win the first two stages, and come in, say, second in the next two, you might still have the lowest overall elapsed time and can, therefore, retain the yellow jersey.
