"� Bert Parks ...": Bert Parks (1914-1992) as the host of about a dozen daytime game shows in the early years of television but was best known as the host of the Miss America Pagent from 1955 - 1979. He sang "There she is, Miss America" when the winner was announced.
Parks was fired after the 1979 pagent which is now seen, I think, on the DIY network.
