- TITLE: "Sometimes it IS Personal" As you shall see.
- "... Fall Subscription Drive ..." Here's the link to the page which describes the Fall Subscription Drive!.
- "... Travelogue ..." Here's the link to the Travelogue on my putting the
Alexandria Windshield Sticker on the Mullmobile last year.
- "... ..." Here's the link to the remarks by Bill Clinton about
Saddam Hussein in 1993.
- "... Speech at the United Nations ..." Here's the link to
President George W. Bush's U.N. Speech.
- "... with Tony Snow ..." Every Saturday (at some time between 1:40 and 2:00 pm Eastern Time) I
do a short political panel with Democratic strategist Susan Estrich on the Fox News Channel - that's the Fox cable network.
Having said that, I will NOT be on this weekend as I will be at a family event. I am the good son.
- "... a young reporter ..." I was the news director of one of
the two radio stations in Marietta, Ohio - WMOA 1490 on your AM dial. A reporter from the
local newspaper actually taught me how to be a reporter. His name was Jerry Condo. He had been trained at
the University of Missouri school of journalism (Mizzou J School) and took me under his wing.
During my time at WMOA I started writing commentaries - at that time every day.
"This is Rich Galen. I'll be back with my comments on people and events in and around Marietta,
right after this"
Over the years, through several iterations, those commentaries have become Mullings.
Years later both Jerry and I ended up in Washington, DC. He was working for the DC Bureau of the Columbus Dispatch; I as the press secretary for a Congressman from Illinois, John Erlenborn.
Unfortunately, Jerry died a young man of heart disease. He wore out his heart helping other people.
Such as me.
For those who might have been sleeping in, here is a brief glimpse of a Sunday at WMOA from last December 31.
- "... Photo by The Lad ..." We think there might be some copyright issues, so it's not here. Sorry.
