Justice Harriett

- "… Business Week ...": Here's the link to a pretty good "He-said/She-said" on Harriet Miers.
- "… Dallas City Hall ...":
See? Upside down.
- "… Let's pretend the glass has got all soft like gauze ...": From the opening chapter of Lewis Carroll's "Alice Through the Looking Glass."
- "… 5766 ...": Last night marked the start of the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah. How the Christian calendar marks the year 1 is easy: Christ. The hardest search I ever did for a Secret Decoder Ring page was determining how the Jewish calendar marked its beginning. It turns out that scholars looked at the bible, totalled all the "begats" and counted backwards. Hence 5766.

Campo, California. If you believe, as I do, that God is in the clouds, then on this morning He was in these clouds.
