Five Is Not Enough
Friday September 8, 2000
- TITLE: "Five Is Not Enough" A take on the television show "Eight is Enough" starring Dick Van Patten which ran from 1977 - 1982 on ABC. It was loosely based on a book of the same name by columnist Tom Braden.
In the way of these things, Tom Braden had a radio program in Washington in the late 1970's and early 1980's on which he (a liberal) and a side-kick (a conservative) debated political topics of the day. Braden's side-kick? Pat Buchanan. That radio show format led to Cross-Fire on CNN, and later Equal Time (MSNBC) and Hannity and Colmes (Fox).
