This was the sign on the wall at customs at Kabul International Airport. Their English is way better than my Pashtu or Dari.

I suspect this was designed by an American soldier.

Not only were we told that we wouldn't be allowed in women's polling places but we were really warned about asking women if we could take their photos.

The times, at least in Mazar-i-Shareef, they are a'changin'.

This is the principle of a large school which was a polling place standing in - or, more precisely on - a classroom. He is pointing to the blackboard which is that black square painted on the wall.

He's been there. Done that. Seen it all.
