Sustainable Output

Wednesday, July 30, 2003

  • TITLE: "Sustainable Output" I really do think I made this up. If you know of someone who, unlike me, actually knows what they are talking about and has published this before, please let me know.

  • "... Subscription Drive ..."

  • " Boston Globe " Here's the link to the Boston Globe piece about Dean's fundraising.

  • " Concord Monitor " Here's the link to the Concord Monitor piece on the weekend's fundraising battle.

  • " Conservation of Angular Momentum " Here it is:
"When the net external torque acting on a system about a given axis is zero , the total angular momentum of the system about that axis remains constant."

    OR

    If then = constant

The most common example of the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum is a spinning figure skater who, as she pulls her arms closer to her body, spins faster.

  • Mullfoto of the Day:

This, as if you had to be told, is an unretouched photo of the Mullmeister with a full glass of wine adorning his clothing.

If someone accidentally spills wine on you at a fairly good restaurant in downtown District of Columbia, you have several choices. You can:

  • A. Jump up screaming and yelling about how these are the exact trousers you just bought in Kuwait (from this guy) to replace the clothes which were in your roll-aboard which took a hike for three weeks; or,

  • B. Sit silently. Verrrrrrry silently. Looking the other person in the eye like Michael Corleone eyeballing Fredo in Havana; or,

  • C. Be quite gallant about the whole thing, tossing off clever bon mots and insisting that the person who actually spilled the wine take a photo like this one thereby demonstrating you are, in fact, the carefree fellow you appear to be.

  •     Mullings' Catchy Caption of the Day:

Actual Caption: The Superman costume worn by actor George Reeves in the 1950's television show 'Superman' is is expected to bring $150,000 at auction.
