  • "... Harry Potter ...": Here's a decode on the characters alluded to:
  • Dudley Dursley Dean: Dudley Dustley is the fat son of Vernon and Petunia Dursley. Howard Dean is ... How Weird Dean.
  • Severus Schumer: Severus Snape is the head of Slytherin House at Hogwarts, is Harry Potter's nemisis; and when he was in school with Harry's dad, wasn't in the "in crowd." Chuck Schumer is the other Senator from New York.
  • Gilderoy Lockhart Kennedy: Gilderoy Lockhart was a preening, peacock of a Wizard (played by Kenneth Branaugh) who failed miserably as the Professor of Defense against the Black Arts.
  • Dobby-the-House-Elf Chirac: Dobby the House Elf was the House Elf belonging to Lucius Malfoy father of Draco, a contemporary of Harry's. Jacques Chirac is a ... dope.

  • "... Financial Times ...": Here's the link to the FT report on the deficit reduction.

  • Mullfoto of the Day

Remember the film, "Get Shorty" with John Travolta? He plays mobster from Miami who goes to LA to make movies. When he lands at LAX he wants to rent a Cadillac, but the only vehicle available is a minivan. Travolta's character is told "this is the Cadillac of minivans," and he takes it.

When I got to ORD in Chicago yesterday, I was told that the only vehicle available was a minivan. It was a Ford, but to me ... it was the Cadillac of minivans.
