" Clark Griswold ...": The character made famous by Chevy Chase in the National Lampoon series, in this case: National Lampoon's Vacation.
In one scene the family stops at the Grand Canyon. Clark gets out with his son. Looks over the edge for two beats and says, "Ok. Let's go."
Mullfoto of the Day
The sign outside a road house on Seward Highway between Anchorage and the aforenamed Seward, Alaska. I actually stopped and went around to get this photo.
Just outside the frame were two guys sitting in a National Parks Service truck. When I rolled down my window and poked my camera out, it got there attention.
I said I had always wondered where the "Home of the Halibut Quesadillas" was. And at the exact same time as I said "I" they both said "You" and we said in unison: "Found it!"
Catchy Caption of the Day
Actual Caption:
Tourists make their way down the Great Wall of China, at Simatai, northeast of Beijing, 02 July 2007. The UN body for culture on Sunday blasted a private initiative that drew nearly 100 million Internet and telephone voters to choose seven "new" wonders of the world. Voters chose the Great Wall of China; India's Taj Mahal; the centuries-old pink ruins of Petra in Jordan; the Colosseum in Rome; the statue of Christ overlooking Rio de Janeiro; the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru; and the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza in Mexico.
What did the UN think should have been included ... Kofi Anan's magical bank account?
