• "... 1960 Electoral Votes ...": Here is a link to the Electoral College results. Near the top of the page click on the "GENERAL BY YEAR" tab, pick the year you want, and look at the results.

• "... about half of Alabama ...": Six of Alabama's electors gave their votes to Harry F. Byrd of Virginia. Kennedy/Johnson got the other five.
