    The man on the right is Ian Tunnicliffe, Colonel, British Army, Retired. He was one of the best officers I met in the course of my stay in Iraq.

    Today, June 28, is the second anniversary of the handover of sovereignty from the Coalition Provisional Authority to the Iraqis.

    In Washington, tonight, a reunion is taking place of the "Iraq Pack." As many of the CPA civilians and military personnel who can make their way, will be there renewing the kinds of friendships which can only bloom in that kind of environment..

    Ian and I are a continent away, but we got to do our renewal at the bar in a hotel in London Monday.

    Priceless.
