Wednesday April 25, 2001
- TITLE: "Let Me Count the Ways" Lot's o' numbers. Percentages, whole numbers, imaginary numbers, perfect numbers, numbers divisible by 10, LOT's o' numbers!
- "…non-voting Delegates …" The Delegates and the Resident Commissioner do not vote on the floor but they have staff, offices, and standing as Members of Congress.
- "… more typical Tuesday …" The usual work week for Congress is from Tuesday through Thursday with votes on Tuesday usually held until the afternoon. Because California has such a huge delegation - 52 Representatives and the two Senators - the schedule is adjusted to allow them to fly back and forth on weekends as they see fit.
- "…Willis Haviland Carrier …" The inventor of modern air conditioning.
- "…USA Today/CNN/Gallup ..." Here's the link to the Gallup web site.
- "… ABC/Washington Post Poll …" Here's the link to the Washington Post poll data
- "…Quantum physics joke …" For everyone who wrote in asking for the full physics joke … there IS no joke. I just made up the punch line.
- Mullings' Catchy Caption of the Day:
"All I know is all the lights were on when I got here."
