Kristol Klear

Monday April 16, 2001

  • TITLE: "Kristol Klear" Bill Kristol's name lent itself to this particular pun of spelling.

  • "…Rupert Murcocks' News Corporation …" News Corp. and its subsidiaries also owns such magazine properties as TV Guide; such TV properties as the Fox Television Network; Newspapers like the New York Post; Movie companies like 20th Century Fox; and baseball teams like the L.A. Dodgers.
I note this, not as a finger shaken at Bill Kristol, but in admiration at someone who has successfully teamed up with an investor of that breadth.

  • "... both usages ..." The Intellectual Right, as in conservative; or The Intellectual Right, as in correct. I guess it could also be The Intellectual Right as in, its due or entitlement.

  • "… Vice President Quayle's …" Bill Kristol was not the first VP chief-of-staff, the title originally went to a person who had been the staff director of his SubCommittee on the Senate Labor Committee. It became obvious, however, that the job needed someone with a stronger hand - and better ties to the DC intelligencia and Kristol took the job.

  • "…Sun-Sentinel …" Here's the Sun-Senintel article.

  •     Mullings' Catchy Caption of the Day:

                                    A little boy's love ... resurrected.
