On Location

- TITLE: "On Location" They're all here. They're all right here.
- "... Subscription Drive ..." If you missed the e-mail about the subscription drive, you should go here to read it.
- "... Ken Infinite ..." This is a pun on the word "ken" which, according to the Merriam-Webster Unabridged is: "the range of vision, recognition, comprehension, perception, understanding, or knowledge" as in, "abstract words that are beyond the ken of young children."
Ken Infinite, then, is the perfect cable anchor - one with an infinite "range of vision, recognition, comprehension, perception, understanding and knowledge."
- "... Starbucks ..." There is, literally, one Starbucks per block in San Francisco. If this fictionalized version of a protest at a Starbucks had been true, commuters could simply have walked about 20 yards to the next Starbucks and continued on their way.
- "... IHT ..." The International Herald Tribune had a pretty nice roundup of how French state-owned TV has been reporting the action in Iraq.
- "... Jacques - Juan ..." Actually, I adapted - well, stole - this from a story Rush Limbaugh told on his radio show yesterday.
