According to the Wikipedia Encyclopedia a hadron is defined as:
A subatomic particle which experiences the strong nuclear force. These are not fundamental particles but are composed of fermions, called quarks and antiquarks, and of bosons, called gluons. The gluons mediate the color force that binds the quarks together.

According to the Candadian "Sustainability Report" website the population of Canada in 2006 is about 32 million - One tenth of the US population. Further, according to a footnote: "Although population in Canada has increased steadily since Confederation in 1867, this has largely been due to immigration, and not natural increase."
