WITCH
Ohhh -- you cursed brat! Look what you've done! I'm melting! Melting! Oh -- what a world -- what a world! Who would have thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness!? Ohhh! Look out! Look out!
I'm going. Ohhhh! Ohhhhhh....

" Zeger and Evans ...": I have referred to this one-hit-wonder pair before. A January, 2003 SDR contained this:
Zager & Evans had only that one hit, the complete title of which was, "In The Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus)" with exordium being defined as "the introductory part of a discourse or composition" and terminus being defined as the place where, once having reached it, you may safely unbuckle your seatbelt and turn on your cell phone.
One of the many times I had to go to the hospital for my very excellent Cardiologists to dig around in my cardiac arteries, my younger brother was driving me at about 5:30 in the morning. The song "In the Year 2525" was on the radio. When they got to this verse:
In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
I said to my brother, "Do you think the conversation was like this when they got to that part?
EVANS: Hey, Zegar?
ZEGAR: What, Evans?
EVANS: What rhymes with "give?"
ZEGAR: Nothing
EVANS: Perfect!
I have always been at my most clever just before undergoing anesthesia.

Mullfoto of the Day
In the interests of science, I walked down to the Potomac River and stood what I believe to be 15 inches from the water's edge.
In 1,000 years, if I don't have to leave to go to the bathroom, my sneakers will be wet. On the other hand, if I don't leave to go to the bathroom I can pretty much guarantee that my sneakers will get wet, so maybe this wasn't the most perfectly designed experiment in the history of science.
(Mullfoto by a person who was walking along with a camera, minding his own business and who, after I convinced him I meant him no bodily harm, used my camera to take this picture, and then ran away. Maybe he was escaping the rapidly rising river.)
Catchy Caption of the Day
Acual Caption:
Australian sailor Anthony Merrington from [the racing yacht] 'Pirates of the Caribbean' jumps from a helicopter hovering above the surf at Victorias Bells Beach near Melbourne. Sailing personnel from the Volvo ocean race had a surfing session before embarking on the third leg, a 1,450 nautical mile race from Melbourne to Wellington, New Zealand.
Just three weeks ago, this was a desert!
