A Dark Cloud on the GOP Horizon

- " High Turnout ... " Here's the link to the Dallas Morning News piece on the size of the turnout in the GOP primary for Governor of Texas on Tuesday.
- " Election of 1992 ... ": Here's a link to the Wikipedia page on the Presidential Election of 1992.
- " Tea Bags ... ": I used the phrase "Tea Baggers" in an earlier version of today's MULLINGS. This, it turns out, is an offensive term which is used - largely - on MSNBC to demean Tea Party Members. Many of you have written in to inform me of this essentially saying "anyone who watches cable news knows what this phrase means."
I don't watch cable news and had no idea it had an offensive connotation but I have changed the web pages and I apologize. I am also never using the words "coffee grounds," "cocoa powder," or even Postum just to be safe.

Ohhhhh Kaaaayyyyy! This is an Israeli soldier on the shore of the Dead Sea. Like soldiers around the world, leaving your weapon unattended is a very serious offense; therefore ...
This takes "don't ask, don't tell" into an entirely new dimension.

Catchy Caption of the Day
Actual Caption:
A snow sculpture created after "Venus de Milo" by Elisa Gonzalez at her home in Rahway, New Jersey. Gonzalez and her two children created the snow sculpture, and were later visited by the local police who told them that a neighbour had complained about the statue and that they needed to cover it up or knock it down. They didn't want any problem with the police so they covered it up with clothing.
Good to know the cops in New Jersey are saving the population from naked snow people. Throw a gun over her back and you've got an homage to an Israeli soldier.
