Taxi drivers stand by their vehicles as they wait for passengers in Beijing. An "unbearable stink" of garlic in Beijing's taxis is threatening the whole city's image during next year's Olympic Games, a top political advisor was reported as saying on Sunday.
Many cab drivers sleep, eat and smoke in their vehicles, leaving a mixed bag of odors for their passengers, said Shi Xiangpeng, a Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference member visiting from Hong Kong.
