This was the sign on the mirror in the bathroom of my room at the Washington Hilton Hotel. I left the door of the bathroom open, but the smoke alarm did not go off.

Because I was in full Mythbuster Mode on Wednesday morning, I thought about lighting a newspaper on fire and holding it under the smoke alarm to make sure it worked.

But I came to my senses and checked out.
