The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field
Tuesday, February 1, 2000
- TITLE: "The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field" is a classic NFL Films description of the home field of the Green Bay Packers. It doesn't really have anything to do with New Hampshire, except it snowed yesterday morning and the phrase came to mind.
- "…Bisquick Pancake Flip-Off." Most of the news organizations did not use the word "Bisquick" in their descriptions of the event. As it happened, most schools in the area were delayed opening because of the weather, but I wondered why they would choose to have an event like that on a school/work day instead of on Saturday.
- "One aspect of Bush's surge here …" Bush moving into New Hampshire after Iowa had the feel of the 7th Fleet moving up the Potomac River (if it COULD get up the Potomac River which I don't think it could so don't write me). The amount of power that the Bush campaign projects is awesome - whether or not it produces a win here.
- "… Adrian Cronauer …" is the same Adrian Cronauer of "Good Morning, Vietnam" fame.
