It's Only Money
Monday January 22, 2001
Go here to purchase an on-line copy of "The Plum Book"
- TITLE: "It's Only Money" The fact is, I would have paid five times that amount if that is what it would have taken to participate in a Republican inauguration.
- "Black Tie & Boots Ball …" Became one of the hottest tickets of the entire weekend. It was put on by the Texas Society which I was not aware even existed. Many black ties were in evidence. Not many boots. Lots of low cut gowns, also without boots.
- "…left for The District…" Most residents of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area refer to the city as "The District" as opposed to "D.C." much as San Franciscans don't refer to their city as "'Frisco." Los Angelinos, of course, refer to THEIR city as "L.A."
- "… the Palm Restaurant…" The Palm is a major place TO BE SEEN. For reasons which are not entirely clear to me, my caricature is on the wall.
- Mullings' Catchy Caption of the Day:
"Really. It's this long." -- Meet the Press
