- Title: "Three Little Words" A song by the tinpan ally songwriting team of Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby. Also a 1950 movie by the same name (about the same guys) starring Fred Astaire.
- "… Cash On Hand …" At the end of a reporting period, the total donations, minus total expenditures = Cash On Hand. It is an important number because money must available for voter contact: Phones, television and radio ads, etc.; grass roots activities: meetings, candidate travel, door-to-door, etc. and so on as the campaign moves forward. While it is possible the campaign's fundraising will improve to meet these needs, the campaign which already has the Cash On Hand to plan and execute these activities is assumed to be in a stronger position.
